Since its beginning, the Council for Life (CFL) has been committed to raising significant funds for non-profit agencies who share our mission of honoring the sanctity of life. To date, CFL has raised in excess of $2.7 million. The 2011 Beneficiaries have been carefully selected. Each of these beneficiaries is committed to serving daily in implementing our mission of empowering women, men, and youth to make life-affirming choices and to raising the public awareness of this complex issue. The CFL is grateful for the faith-based, compassionate services these agencies provide and their passionate commitment to the sanctity of life.

Since 1983, the staff and volunteers have come alongside clients to offer educational information and spiritual, emotional and material assistance. Funds will be used to support the medical clinics of all three locations: Jupiter Road, Greenville Avenue and West Dallas.

The Family Care Pregnancy Center offers free pregnancy testing, information on fetal development, crisis counseling by lay individuals, ultrasounds, sexually transmitted disease information and a host of other services to help women cope with the challenges of unplanned pregnancies. Funds will be used for staffing, a new sonogram machine, educational curriculum, community outreach, and public awareness education.

The Perinatal Support of Texas’s mission is to provide support to families whose unborn baby has been given a fatal diagnosis. The funds will be used to reach out to obstetricians in Dallas in order to educate them of how to support families with this fatal diagnosis.

Angels Clinic opened in May of 2008 dedicated to nurturing the mind, body and spirit of women with unplanned pregnancies by providing free prenatal care as well as psychosocial support in a nonjudgmental environment. All physicians staffing the clinic volunteer their time and services. Funds will go towards salaries for a full time front desk and clinic supervisor, part time medical assistant, part time social services coordinator and part time clinic director.

Since 1992, Prestonwood Pregnancy Center has provided guidance, education and medical services to women and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies in north central Texas. Funds will support the Community Mobile Sonogram Program offering free pregnancy tests, sonograms, guidance and referral services conveniently aboard a 31 foot RV branded unit.
